As we are now in a period of exceptional drought in New Mexico, the New Mexico Cooperative Extension Service of N.M. State University is offering a free 6 part webinar series (May 20; May 27; June 3; June 10; June 17; June 24) to help everyone learn how to better manage our precious water resources.  These sessions, presented by many experts around the state, range from water harvesting to xeriscaping to hydrology, and more. The Aldea Outdoors Committee hopes you can take advantage of this opportunity to find out more about these water conservation issues.  You can register for any or all of the sessions that are of interest to you. 

June 3 – Water Cycle of New Mexico/ Water Conservation in the Yard
June 10 – Soil Health/ Water-Wise Vegetable Gardening
June 17 – Water Conservation and Management on New Mexico Farms/ Soil Moisture Sensors for Precise Irrigation/ Alternative Water Sources for Landscape Irrigation
June 24 – Managing Groundwater: An Invisible Resource/ Water Conservation on the Ranch
