Banking on New Mexico encourages you to attend the next meeting of the Santa Fe City Council to help move public banking forward. After approval by City of Santa Fe’s Finance Committee on October 20, 2014, the resolution for a feasibility study of the benefits of a public bank will be on the agenda of the Santa Fe City Council on Wednesday, October 29, 2014.
A public presence at this meeting of the Santa Fe City Council will help move public banking forward in Santa Fe. This is an important step in the process. If you are able, Banking on New Mexico encourages you to attend this meeting. There will be no need to speak. Wear green if you have it.
The Public Banking Resolution is item “q” on the consent agenda. The consent agenda usually goes very quickly because most of the items will not be discussed. The public banking item will almost certainly be discussed.
