Please join Ohio Representative Lisa Sobecki, and Pennsylvania Representative Joe Ciresi, and a distinguished panel for a webinar on April 9 at 8am MDT, entitled “The National Infrastructure Bank ‘Moonshot’: Hiring and Training a Workforce for 21st Century Jobs”.
The webinar will focus on the challenge of assimilating tens of millions of new employees into high-paying jobs in infrastructure projects.
Complementing the Biden jobs plan announced March 31, a new National Infrastructure Bank (NIB) will create 25 million new jobs and launch a training program not seen since the Great Depression and the WWII economic mobilization. The NIB will pay Davis-Bacon wages and collaborate with trade unions and other institutions to create a skilled workforce on a par with any other nation. That workforce will be able to immediately handle entry-level positions in construction and repair and be quickly upgraded to work on the most advanced projects including High-Speed Rail, transmission lines, broadband implementation, water desalination, and power projects. Let’s shoot for the moon!
Please join this provocative and educational webinar.
Speakers:
Rep. Joe Ciresi, Pennsylvania legislature
Rep. Lisa Sobecki, Ohio legislature
Rep. Darisha Parker, Pennsylvania legislature
Bill Leyden, Business Rep., Elevator Constructors Local 52, Apprenticeship Training expert, Virginia

“I had the good fortune to work on this initiative before Bernie kidnapped all my time. This is one of those no-brainer initiatives that only the 1% could oppose. It has the potential to save the state millions of dollars by vastly reducing the cost of its bonds to improve infrastructure funding. in a public bank, our state funds can be used to build our local economy and our local infrastructure.”
